Life After Easter

Nine days ago we celebrated the Risen Christ.

Are we still celebrating him today?  If not then we need to ponder our faith and renew it.

Celebrating the Living Christ is a daily renewal, even before lifting your head off the pillow, Praise God and seek Him for your day.

I recall the promise that Jesus left with his disciples in the sixteenth chapter of John, that he was not leaving them alone, that he was sending the Holy Spirit to live in them.

A helper, a counselor for them that they might tell the world the truth, about sin, being right with God and about judgement.

After His death, Jesus came to the disciples in Jerusalem and in a room with the doors shut, he breathed on them and said, receive the Holy Spirit.

As followers of Christ, we too can have the helper, the counselor, the Spirit to teach, help and advice us on how to live after Easter.

We have in us the living Christ, do we realize what a great responsibility this is!  We must continue the work Christ left for us to  do.

Satan does not like this and he will fight us all the way, but command him to get away in the name of Christ and he will not falter us.

Just this past week, Satan worked on me, he knows my weakness over being stressed and caused me to be snappy with my spouse.  As I realized what was happening and confessed this to God and my spouse Satan had no choice but to leave.

Lets examine our strengths our weaknesses and confess them to God and watch as the Spirit does the work he was sent to do for us.

Maybe you do not have a church home or are not growing in your present one.  If this is so then contact me, I would love to introduce you to Living Hope Free Methodist.  I can testify that the Spirit is moving and working in this rural church.
